今回の Topic は、英検準１級２０１６年第１回の問題です。

１. Topic     

     Agree or Disagree: The number of young people who live with their parents after they finish education will increase in the future. 

２. Structure

a) Thesis Statement

     I agree with the statement because of both economic and practical reasons.

b) Body の部分を構成する３つの Paragraph の Main Idea は、

第１ Paragraph　いわゆる非正規雇用者の増加は、彼らが高校や大学卒業後も経済的に独立出来ない原因となっている

第２ Paragraph　非正規雇用における低収入と仕事の不安定さは、非正規雇用者が結婚して独立した家庭を持つことを困難にしている

第３ Paragraph　教育を終えた後、彼らが両親と同居することは、双方に利益をもたらす

３. Sample

     I agree with the statement because of both economic and practical reasons.

     To begin with, these days, many young people have little choice but to live with their parents after they graduate from high schools or colleges because they can’t afford to live on their own.  With the number of so called non-regular-employees on the rise, such young people have difficulty spending housing, food and energy expenses.  As this situation is not likely to improve soon, it’s reasonable for young people who aren’t employed as full-time workers to decide to live with their parents due to economic reasons.    

     In addition, the growing number of non-regular employees has made it difficult for them to get married, which has led them to remain in homes with parents.  It’s been reported that many of them think that they can’t afford to get marry, due both to low wages and instability of their jobs.  As a result, they are forced to continue living with their parents unless they secure full-time regular jobs with diverse benefits for supporting families.   

     Finally, not only young people who are in need but also their parents find it convenient to live together.  By living in the same house, collaboration between parents and their children will become easier.  For instance, on weekdays, their parents can cook meals, do the errands and the laundry for them.  On weekends, in return for these activities, they can help their parents with shopping, cooking, and other tasks.  In doing so, both the young people and their parents benefit from this close relationship.   

     In conclusion, I agree with the statement because of the three reasons I mentioned above.
